I thought I'd take this opportunity to post a reminder about the importance of developing and following a robust backup strategy. A surveybe user has just had to re-install his surveybe Freedom Designer after his Windows partition was lost during an operating system update, along with all the data and applications it held. In this case he needed to re-partition his PC and re-install Windows, then re-install and re-licence the surveybe application before he could continue working.

It's a useful reminder of the importance of properly backing up all your data and applications (not just surveybe applications). It's sensible to do this regularly (I suffered a total hard disc failure without warning earlier this year) and before you make any significant changes to your PC.
